Up early today and packed for a few days away in the BEAUTIFUL Scottish Highlands with family. We’ve got a long drive ahead of us, but I’m in high spirits and looking forward to quality time with some of my nearest and dearest.
I know the Highland air is going to do me so much good. We’re staying in Kinlochleven – a village that’s full of special memories for us a family. The last time I was there, I ordered the scrummiest meat and potatoes in a local pub. And I enjoyed so many wonderful walks around Loch Leven itself.
It’s been a shaky few weeks. Life’s had me permanently frazzled, wandering when I’m going to fall flat on my face and mess it all up. And yet, I haven’t. I keep thinking I’m going to forget something important or drop the ball on something and no. I’m here now having survived it all and somehow kept on top of things.
I think the older I get, the more I’m learning that you can only be so organised. A lot of the time, things are going to get done right at the last minute, even if they’re on your radar for weeks before. And as long as you’ve got everything written down, or you’re keeping track in whichever way works for you, you’ll figure it out as you go.
